Research Studies

We participate in medical research studies that support the evaluation of new imaging techniques, technologies, treatments, and approaches to patient care.

What Are Research Studies?

Research studies help medical professionals learn more about health conditions, treatments, medications, medical devices, and imaging techniques. These studies may help improve the way conditions are detected, monitored, or treated in the future.

Imaging is often an important part of a research study. Depending on the study, participants may need an MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, X ray, mammogram, or another type of imaging exam. These images allow the research team to collect information and observe possible changes over time.

We are pleased to support selected medical research studies in collaboration with research sponsors, healthcare providers, and research teams. Each study has its own approved instructions, known as a research protocol, which explains how the study and imaging exams should be performed.

Before your appointment, our team will review the imaging requirements provided by the research team. We will help coordinate your appointment, complete the required imaging, and provide the appropriate documentation and images according to the study instructions.

Your experience may be similar to a regular imaging appointment, although a research study may require additional images, specific positioning, or more than one visit. Our staff will explain what to expect and will make every effort to keep you informed and comfortable throughout your appointment.

Your privacy is important to us. Research related information and images are handled carefully and shared only as permitted by the study requirements and applicable privacy guidelines.

Participation in a research study is voluntary. Before participating, you should receive information from the research team explaining the purpose of the study, what will be required, and any possible risks or benefits. Please speak with your physician or research coordinator if you have questions about the study or whether participation is right for you.

Our role is to provide the imaging services required for the study with care, accuracy, and respect for every participant.

What’s next?

After the imaging portion of the research study is completed, our team will review the required documentation and securely provide the images and study information to the appropriate research sponsor or coordinating organization.

Any questions regarding study results, next steps, or continued participation should be discussed with your physician or research coordinator.
